So you are all grown up and married now Dave, what has changed the most in your life since you got hitched?
Sex! It’s great. Tessa is rad and now I have a friend to do everything with.
I hear you live in Pemberton now and work with Young Life, what does your life look like in a nutshell?
Ya, both Tess and I are doing Young Life full time now. Essentially we are missionaries to the highschool teens here. We build relationships, share life, go on fun camping trips and outings, and through it all, share Christ. This summer we took 24 teens to camp, and 8 excepted Christ for the first time! Next month we’re off to Tofino for a surf trip with about 30. Check out our photos and VIDEOS at:
How did your journey as a Christian begin?
I grew up in a Christian home with solid parents.
My dad was reading me my bedtime story about a lynx when I was 4, and some how the lynx became a Christian. I wanted in!
If you won a million dollars, what would be the first thing you would buy?
1993 Dodge turbo diesel 3/4 ton ext., cab long box, with a 6″lift and 35″ tires. Then a 2011 Skidoo Rev 800. Then a rad chunk of and up the meadows here to build my dream home. And lots of heli time with anything left over.
What is the latest thing that you have been learning about Jesus?
Not to think about myself and material possessions, but about eternal things. Geese, you had to put this question right after the million dollar one, eh.
If you could be famous for one thing what would it be?
Being a Christ-like example. That would be rad if people knew me for just being like Jesus.
How would you describe your faith and what it means to you?
My faith is based on 2 main things. Love God with all my heart. Love my neighbors.
If I can start to get those 2 things figured out, I think I’m doing OK.
