Weekend in Waterloo

What is one notable difference between riding in Ontario and the scene in BC?
The meaning and the use of the word FRESHIES!
For us in the West we retain the use of the word for untracked, virgin pow - preferably 30+cms of the good stuff. As I learned in Waterloo this last weekend, freshies for our friends in Ontario, most often means a fresh batch of soft slush straight from the Zamboni at the back of your local rink! Hey, you gotta work with what you have.
Granted it was dumping in Stratford (20mins away) the night before, but mother nature only left us with a skiff in Waterloo. So it was off to the rink for us!

SfC Waterloo hosted their season kickoff on Dec 3rd, 2005. The team came together to set up the scaffold, box, music and lights for the 2hr jib session. They also gave out free hot dogs and drinks and were waxing boards for only $2.
Kudos to Aaron, Brian, Rob, Steve and Greg for all their hard work and their committment to see Jesus Christ become known in their snowriding community.
