VIVA LA MANJAR

Let me introduce you to Manjar and the wonders of the country of Chile. If you english folks are saying man jar, you need to pull out your Spanish dictionary and pronounce it maanhaar or something like that. Use a deep voice like you were in a Braveheart battle for the full effect. If you have never been to South America and tasted this treat you will have a hard time understanding what it is. It is sort of like chocolate, caramel, soft peanut butter and yet really not like any of them. You put it on bread of all kinds, apples, cheese, bananas, deep fried churros and anything else that catches your fancy. Dont even get me started on the Chorrizo sausage. Oh baby. Besides the Manjar you can also look forward to some of the best mountains/ snow conditions in the Southern Hemisphere, friendly locals, all night dancing and sipping Matte tea. I had the opportunity to spend a month at Termas de Chillan with 15 staff and students from a YWAM Snowboarders DTS. Two huge dumps of snow and bluebird skies left me dreaming of the next time I will go back. Sound great? You bet it was, but it all pales in comparison to what GOD is doing in Chile. He is working in the local churches and through our outreach efforts. We got to share our testimonies with the local skiers/riders, French and Swiss tourists and anyone else we could communicate with. We got to see God do a major work in two snowboard instructors and many others introduced to the Gospel. I had to leave the team just as they were gearing up for a large snowboard demo in the city of Conception.
