On Monday March 13, 2006, Snowboarders for Christ Fernie put on an event that we named "Feed the Swedes (Mata Svensken)" It was a great success! There was about 10-15 people helping out, including the 5 Swedes that come to Church and Bible Study. We made them Swedish meatballs, potatoes, salads, and for dessert chocolate cake! One of the Swedish guys (Marcos) did all the MCing for the evening, and Cory sang a song in Swedish, they also sang the national athem, had a Canada vs. Sweden hockey game on the X-Box, and some of our own SfC members attempted at speaking Swedish for a part of the announcement. We also had a few activites and a little trivia question. It was a lot of fun and approximately 40-45 Swedes showed up!!!
